Champei Waterfall

Champei Waterfall  or Laang Ta Thon waterfall is 35 kilometers northeast of Oddar Meanchey provincial town. A natural site, it includes a huge boulder that measures 500 meters square.

 There is also a mountain valley on both sides of the waterfall and the surrounding area is full of flowers, part cultural site organized by the monks who meditate at the site. Known as Ruot Champei, it has a number of statues that describe the life process from birth until death, as well as other religious and wildlife statues.

Khmer Rouge Cultural Sties

In Anlong Veng district, along road 68, about 100 kilometers east of Oddar Meanchey provincial town, is a house once owned by former Khmer Rouge Commander Ta Mok.


From 1979 until late 1997, this area was organized and controlled by the Khmer Rouge armies. Some remaining statues describe the way the rebels lived and how they arranged their troops during their bloody struggle against the government.

Bayong Mountain (Phnom Bayong)

Phnom Bayong is located in Por Rorng village, Preah Bat Chonn Chum commune, Kirivong district, about 43 kilometers soutth of Takeo provincial town or about 121 kilometers south of Phnom Penh. From Phnom Penh, take National Road 2 via Bati, Sam Rong, Daun Keo, and Trang districts.

Bayang temple was built tetween AD 615 and 635 by King Pavarman II on the diameter is 13 meter by 9 meters and it is 12 meters high. Constructed of literate, brick and other stones, it is heavily damaged. Pieces of the temple litter the ground; the roof has collapsed, and the literate rampart has damaged.

Bayong temple is a historical site that attracts both foreigners and Cambodians doing research about their ancestors. The road to the mountain, however, is old and difficult to access in the thick forest. The temple is reachable by climbing 390 steps.

Da Mountain (Phnom Da)

Phnom Da is located in Prek Ta Phor village, Kok Thalork commune, Angkor Borei district, about 24 kilometers east of Takeo provincial town by water canal or about 102 kilometers south of Phnom Penh by the road. This part of the country is flood six months of the year, during the rainy season, and dry the rest of the year.

Phnom Da is a cultural, historical site that has been renovated to provide visitors a place to relax or research Cambodian history. The scenery is beautiful all year. In the rainy season, there is a vast water basin that produces lush, green rice paddies during the dry season.

Oldest Pagoda In Kampong Thom

 In Kampong Thom province, there are four oldest pagoda such as: Wat Prast, Wat Kampong Thom, Wat Kdei Deum, Wat Prasat Andet that in a day has many visitors go visit there, both inside and also outside.

 1. Wat Prasat ( Pasat Pagoda)


Wat Prasat is located in Prasat village, Prasat commune, Santuk district, Kampong Thom province, about 135 kilometers from Phnom Penh or 31 kilometers southeast Kampong Thom Provincial town. At one time, there were seven ancient temples at Wat Prasat, but today only one is still standing. It is located behind the recently built temple.

Constructed of brick in the 7th century,Wat Prast temple is 3 meters square in diameter. On the temple door frame is a flower wreath similar to the one at Sambo Preykuk temple. Seven hardwood statues, carved in the 7th century, remain in the temple, setting it from other temples.

Prey Pros(In Kompong Tom)

Prey Pros is a semi-natural and cultural site in Prey Preal village, Prey Preal  commune, Kampong Svay district,s about 16 kilometers northwest of Kampong Thom provincial twon. The site encompasses 2 million square meters and includes a river that is 4,000 meters long and 30 meters wide. it is rich in Domrei fish (the elephant fish).
 The site is a venue for foot races, bicycle races and other games during national festivals. In addition, the provincial tourist office has organized other activities such as boat rides, fishing and swimming, and has erected resting cottages, where food and drink are for sale. The view from Prey Pros is beautiful and enchanting, while the wind that blows across the river will cool and refresh hot, tired tourists.

Phnom Santuk

Phnom Santuk is a cultural and natural site located in Ko Koh village, Ko Koh communce, Santuk district, about 17 kilometers south of Kampong Thom provincal twon.The site includes four mountains: Phnom Srah Kmao or Phnom Tbeng, Phnom Peenchum or Phnom Kraper, Phnom Champa and Phnom Santuk.
